In the main courtroom of the Palace of Justice on October 18, 1947 the defendants of Case III, the "Justice case", made their final pleas of innocence to the three members of the Tribunal III. To the left are the defendants, with the defendant Wolfgang Mettgenberg at the microphone, and their counsel seated in front. To the right is the three-man Tribunal, and seated below them are court reporters and members of the staff of the Secretary General. At the bottom of the picture, grouped around two tables are members of the prosecution staff.
